Obituaries

Mr. Hershel Lee Shehan, age 54 of 450 Buffalo Shoals Road in Lincolnton, died on Monday, January 2, 2012. 

A memorial service will be held at 4:00 pm on Thursday, January 5, 2012 in the Warlick Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Doug McClain officiating.  

Mr. Shehan was born January 10, 1957 in Cleveland County to Shelby Hawkins Shehan and the late Paul R. Shehan.  He worked as a detention officer. 

He is survived by his wife, Herbilene Houser Shehan of the home; one step-son, Jesse Helms of Lincolnton; one step-daughter, Rayna Brakefield of Lincolnton; mother, Shelby Shehan of Lincolnton; one sister, Tressia Johnson of Pelzer, SC; and four step-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Lincoln County Sherriff’s Office, Explorer Post 700, P.O. Box 506, Lincolnton, NC  28093.
