Nellie Jean Clark Leonhardt, age 86, of Gracie Lane in Lincolnton, passed away on Tuesday, April 29, 2025.
Her funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, May 5, 2025, in the Warlick Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jeremy Mahaffey officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 1:45 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
Mrs. Leonhardt was born November 26, 1938, in Burke County, to the late Oscar and Ershler Puett Clark. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles W. Leonhardt; brother, Junior Clark; and two sisters, Josephine Coffey and Pauline Woody. She worked in textiles.
She is survived by a son, Charles A. Leonhardt of Vale; brothers, Jay Clark (Judy) of Greenville, SC, and Larry Clark of Lincolnton; two grandchildren, Adam Wesley Cain Leonhardt (Amber) and Casey Fredell (Jessica), all of Vale; five great-grandchildren, Caydon Wesley Cain Leonhardt, Eric William Lutz, Bailey Paige Lutz, Katelyn Michelle Fredell, and Karley Hope Fredell; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to St. Jude Memorial Giving, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
