Max Donald Schronce

Max Donald Schronce, age 87, of Cameron Road in Lincolnton, passed away on Tuesday, April 29, 2025.
A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 3, 2025, in Forest Lawn Cemetery with Rev. Chad Walker officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 3:00 p.m. on Saturday at Holy Cross Lutheran Church following the graveside service.
Mr. Schronce was born September 26, 1937, in Lincoln County, to the late Earl McClure Schronce and Ada Nolan Schronce. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, David Schronce and Russell Schronce. Max worked for Vermont American.
He is survived by his wife, Peggy Armstrong Schronce of the home; two daughters, Pam S. Link (Scott) of Lincolnton, and Susan S. Lockridge (Sam) of Cherryville; two grandsons, Sam Meek Lockridge, IV (Amanda) of Dallas, and Spencer Lockridge (Taylor) of Cherryville; granddaughter, Lauren Sloan (Chad) of Lincolnton; four great-grandchildren, Caylin and Camdyn Lockridge, River Sloan, and Porter Lockridge; niece, Patricia Mosteller; and nephew, Mike Schronce.
