Andra Jane "Andy" Aldridge
( December 16, 1944 - April 24, 2025 )
Andra “Andy” Aldridge entered into the arms of Jesus on April 24, 2025 at the age of 80. Andy and her twin sister Jo were born December 16, 1944 and were a complete surprise to their parents, her father actually fainted. After graduating from Belmont High School she married and had four children. She devoted her life to her children and grandchildren.

She worked for many years at Stabilus in Gastonia as a quality control technician and when she retired she earned an associate’s degree from Gaston College. She was a member of Bethany Baptist Church for more than 40 years where she taught Sunday school, vacation bible school and raised her children.

As a single mother she didn’t have a lot of material things but she lived by Mathew 6:1-4. If she had something to give, she did, without boasting or needing any acknowledgement. She taught her children to pray about everything no matter how big or small and to always trust God no matter what the outcome. She forgave the unforgivable and loved with her whole heart. She was a beautiful woman with a beautiful soul and she will be truly missed. But we as her family can only imagine the celebration in heaven when she arrived there and we know that we will see her again.

Andy was preceded in death by her parents Paul Brown and Hattie Stamey Brown (Lincolnton, NC), her sisters Clarice King (Gastonia, NC) and Sandra “Jo” Brown (Lincolnton, NC), and her son in law Allen Wilson (Gastonia, NC).

She is survived by her two sisters, Joan Simmons (Belmont, NC) and Rene Jordan (Belmont, NC), children Paul Aldridge (Barbra), Iron Station, NC, Donna Teeling (Kraig), Iron Station, NC, Terri Kelly (Bob), Lincolnton, NC, Amy Cain (John), Crouse, NC and her honorary daughter Amanda Aldridge, Belmont, NC. She had 20 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and 2 great, great grandchildren.

There will be a celebration of Life service Saturday, May 3 at 12 pm at Gainsville Baptist Church, 270 Gainsville Church Rd, Lincolnton, NC 28092 followed by a private graveside service at Hollybrook Cemetery in Lincolnton. Her favorite color was blue and her favorite flower was daffodils.
